G'DAY TO OUR MATES. Tuesday, October 27, 2009. HALLS CREEK to FITZROY CROSSING. Saturday, 15/9/09 - Thursday, 24/9/09. Left Kununurra at 8am for the approx 350 km drive to Halls Creek. On the way we stopped off at Turkey Creek - what a top spot! And a lovely old boxer dog called "Duchess" lived there. Since the end of the gold rush, Halls Creek has existed as a service centre for the surrounding cattle stations and for the traffic passing through. That's still the case today. G'DAY TO OUR MATES. Saturday, March 27, 2010. Left Kalgoorlie early for the 400km drive to Balladonia via Norseman. Good driving day - no wind and some cloud cover. Balladonia is the first stop on the Nullabor (Eyre Highway) travelling east from Western Australia to South Australia. G'DAY TO OUR MATES. Monday, February 15, 2010. We made it across the Nullarbor to Ceduna in South Australia but more about that later. Catch up time! As we had already seen the coast road from Fremantle while down at Augusta, we decided to take the inland route to Albany. Note the box in the front . that was an esky full of ice and beer! The boat shed produce markets were only small, but really good. The World cruise ship was visiting Albany when we were there. What a monster and what a way to live!
