The Duke Family: Bath time fun
http://the-duke-family.blogspot.com/2015/06/bath-time-fun.html
Sarah thought it was so funny when I wrapped her wet hair up in her towel like I do with mine. We had to have a photo shoot. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Corner Of My Heart. The Duke Family: All of us!
http://the-duke-family.blogspot.com/2015/06/all-of-us.html
We got an email this week from church asking for a recent family picture for the ward directory. I wasn't going to send one (I know, what a jerk, right! Because we didn't have any recent pictures of all of us. Aaron insisted we needed to take a picture, so he dug out the tripod and remote for the camera and took this gem. Aren't we such a good looking bunch? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Corner Of My Heart. Nober's Update: No(el) and (Am)ber. Party Hardy.Party, Party, Party. My Joy = My Family!

The Duke Family: Hiking with kids
http://the-duke-family.blogspot.com/2015/07/hiking-with-kids.html
Last Saturday we went hiking in the Shenandoah National Forest. It was about a 2 1/2 hour drive to get there but the scenery was beautiful. We hiked the Rose River Falls Loop which we thought was going to be about a mile or 2. It ended up being a 4 mile hike! It's a good thing we packed water and snacks. It may have been a bit ambitious though as our first big family hike! The first part of the trail was a gravel path. We walked on it for about a mile until we found this waterfall. There were plenty of l...

The Duke Family: August 2014
http://the-duke-family.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Birthday boys and first day of school. The boys had a birthday. They are 6 years old! We started off the day by opening their present from us so they could play with them that day. After playing with their scooters for a bit we had our first day of school. The boys will be doing first grade work this year and Sarah is pre-k. Noah wants to be an Army man (if he can since his dad couldn't) or a police man when he grows up. Eli wants to be an astronaut or a firefighter when he grows up. Corner Of My Heart.

Conversations in the car. Tonight while we were all driving in the car this was the series of conversations that occurred. Sarah: Mommy and Daddy? Sarah: You guys are the best mommy and daddy ever. A few minutes later. Noah: Satan is the worst dad ever. Eli: He isn't even a dad. Noah: Yea I know! That's why he's the worst! A couple more minutes. Why is it taking so long for you guys to die? Sarah and Josie love each other! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Corner Of My Heart. Nober's Update: No(el) and (Am)ber.

The Duke Family: Snapshots of summer
http://the-duke-family.blogspot.com/2015/07/snapshots-of-summer.html
I love this picture. This is what you get when you are a girl with brothers. She's dressed up like Spiderman but playing with Barbie. Eli lost his front tooth on Monday. Here he is showing off his jack-o-lantern grin while doing some school work. He turned his hat backwards and insisted I get a picture. He's so cute and grown up. Noah really wants to get his math done so we can have a few weeks off for summer. Cooling off in the fountains at Fairfax Corner. Today has been about the same. The kids hav...

Quite Contrary: We only have a fish, so I guess we're not really farmers.

Sunday, March 18, 2012. We only have a fish, so I guess we're not really farmers. Most of this week has been so nice and pleasant that Izzy and I have been spending hours outside each day, working on our farmer's tans. We have made excellent progress. We spend most of our time in the following ways: stealing rocks from the neighbors, looking at and then running away from bugs (all of which are either "butterflies" or "spiders"), shouting "Help help! Quite Contrary: June 2011
http://imemary.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 17, 2011. Big kids are so lazy during the summer. Anyway, earlier this week I started off the day by spilling approximately 1500 hair pretties all around the toilet. Fortunately I have a little helper who loves both the potty and being right where I need to be. Evidence of my dedicated domestic helper! She had a plastic blue knife, so there was a lot more stabbing and poking than actual chopping on her account.). This also mostly involved stabbing, but this time with a spoon.). My mother-in-...
