Kendal and District Lion Club now has a new reindeer ready to pull Santas sleighin Christmas 2017. But as yet he has no name. We are offering a meal for two at the Brewery Arts Centre to the value of 40.00 to the person who can think of the best name for him. January 24, 2017. During December, we held our annual Christmas collection around the estates of Kendal to raise money for our local charitable causes. For a number of years now we have had the assistance of several local groups, without whom Kendal Lions would not be able to cover most of an ever-growing town. Each group receives 50% of the money they collected on the night, and received their cheques from this years Club President Malcolm Benson, at a presentation evening yesterday at Kendal Golf Club.

Here are some examples the types of projects that Kendal and District Lions have been involved in:. Young Leaders in Service. A project aimed at young people (aged between 11 and 18) where they pledge time to providing a community service, either through schools and organisations or their own means. 100 hours = gold award. 50 hours = a silver award. Recovery is an hour long swimming session open to anyone suffering from post-operative, muscular or osteopathic problems, who might benefit from exercise.
