They are made of one or more data/temp files. 1 Permanent - Use data files and normally contain system and users' data. 2 Temporary - Used to store objects for a duration of a user's session. Temp files are used to create temporary tablespaces. 3 Undo - uPermanent tablespace used to store undo data, which if required would undo changes of data by users. Every oracle database has atleast two tablespaces.
