Dessert treats for special occasions. Sunday, January 11, 2009. Batman, Barbie, and Firemen OH MY! So I may have over committed. Myself this past weekend, but I guess I got excited about decorating after a Christmas lull. I made a Batman cake, Batman cookies, 4 dozen fire themed cupcakes, 2 jumbo cupcakes, and a Barbie cake. I was exhausted, but very pleased how everything came out and that it was DONE! Please don't let me accept more than 2 orders at once. AHHH. Marble cake with chocolate icing.

So, Jaime let me try out my skills on her wedding cake a year and a half ago and now I got to make a baby shower cake for her. This design with the pregnant mamma on top was inspired by another bakery, The Pink Cake Box. They make beautiful cakes and I wanted to give it a shot. She's expecting a boy so I tried to take the boy colors and the designs from the napkin and incorporate them in the cake. This cake had one vanilla layer and one chocolate layer inside.
