First just clarifying what a Dossier is for those not familiar with adoption terms.this is basically a big stack of paperwork, a file including our home study, medical info, etc. that Ethiopia will process as our application to adopt. We've been working on this file for months so we are thrilled to say it is on its way to Ethiopia! First it stops in multiple US locations to be authenticated, then will head to Africa. I wanted to update you all on where we are now, and specifically on where we are in bringing our Pearl home. You may want to grab some coffee, and prepare yourself for some run-on sentences :). Saturday, August 24, 2013. It has been a busy summer! I turned 30 on 30-A with my family all there to celebrate. It was a fun trip and one I hope will become a tradition. Kathryn came to visit. Wednesday, February 05, 2014. I miss California. A month ago today, we were Pasadena-via-Vegas bound. I was SO SMUG that we had missed the worst weather of the winter. Surely it wouldn't get into single digits again! Oh how wrong I was. Someone in this photo (not me) has watched the SEC championship game 6 times (5 on TV, once in person). Wednesday, July 17, 2013. On Sunday, three bunko friends and I threw a baby shower for Julia, who is expecting her first born this fall! The shower was a hit, but the sweetest part of all came home with us hostesses: Julia made us gift baskets with peach jam and a sack of six delicious, ripe, sweet Georgia peaches from the Peach Truck! So, we have been putting them to use this week. On Monday we had grilled peaches and ice cream:. And last night, we made a peach pizza! YUMthat pizza looks amazing!

I'm only a few months late, but Cole turned 4! All I could get out of him for what he wanted for his party was "swords and a bouncy." So, a "royal knight" theme it was. I (copy) watercolored the invitation and printed them. A very cheap but cute alternative to having them made! We had the bouncy and had wonderful friends show up! The six of us.

Monday, September 29, 2014. BSL Sprint into Fall. Walker was so proud of his siblings. Last January, Bennett began swimming for the YMCA. It was super casual, but she grew to like it, and even competed in a couple of swim meets. Some have mentioned our four, " maybe one day five. Children, and others have asked if we were still. Adopting. The answer is yes, we are still. Answers and what feels like an ocean of tears.
