To ensure proper credit, please note that the out of focus pictures were taken by me. The rest are hers. The one of you and J embracing with the kids dancing around you on the beach? Unreal. Blow it up. Frame it. So perfect. August 3, 2014 at 6:49 AM. Love our family beach vacations! August 7, 2014 at 8:20 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Ryan and Mary Karlee. Play Mouse or Leah.

House That Jack Built: Football Fan
http://www.kateexpectations.com/2014/02/football-fan.html
Sunday, February 2, 2014. I am a big football fan. The biggest. Huge, huge football fan. I don't know the difference between a tight end and a receiver, and I have no idea how many points a field goal is worth. Technically, I've never even sat through an entire game but seriously, there is nothing like football season. These days, football season means coming home from Church every Sunday and pulling two little Broncos jerseys out of the closet. Jack is a lifelong Denver fan, but the two years they w...

House That Jack Built: July 2014

Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Don't let the playful pictures fool you - When the Foutz cousins get together, it is serious business. Within minutes of arriving at our summer gathering, and after eleven hours in the car, my kids were crowded around the kitchen table with the others - pens in hand, and official Cousin Club notebooks opened before them. Votes were proposed, hands raised, officers nominated, and an agenda set in place. Every decision was unanimous, including wording of the official pledge:. Partic...

House That Jack Built: These is my hashtags

Thursday, May 16, 2013. These is my hashtags. What I’ve come to appreciate recently about the book is that when it begins, and Sarah is an unattached teenage girl, the diary entries are frequent, and they are lengthy. She writes every day. Multiple times a day. Pages and pages. We get rich details of her daily life, challenges, dreams, joys. As time goes on however, and Sarah assumes the responsibilities of a wife and mother, the entries become increasingly brief and infrequent. Like Sarah, the more deep...

House That Jack Built: Chronicles of Two
http://www.kateexpectations.com/2014/01/chronicles-of-two.html
Sunday, January 19, 2014. Eddie had a birthday on Friday. I took a picture before he woke up, never wanting to forget the way he points his little behind in the air when he sleeps. Then I had the thought to take a picture every hour on the day he turned two. If I can't slow down time, I can at least try to capture it. We love you buddy. I love this Katie! January 19, 2014 at 3:29 PM. Wishing there were more hours in the day! Love every picture. Love Eddie. Such a lucky boy! January 19, 2014 at 4:07 PM.

House That Jack Built: Because of Him
http://www.kateexpectations.com/2014/04/because-of-him_23.html
Wednesday, April 23, 2014. Last week, we lost Jack's Uncle Mike to cancer. Here he is meeting Eddie for the first time. I think he was asking him if he's going to be a Sun Devil. Jack and I have special place in our hearts for Uncle Mike, with whom we shared loves for blogging, ASU football, and conservative politics. I might have asked myself the question, "Why Me" once or twice during this ordeal, but I immediately counter with "Why Not Me? Early in my ordeal, while laying in bed and not sure of my fut...

House That Jack Built: November 2013
http://www.kateexpectations.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 27, 2013. Last year, Santa brought us a set of giant waffle blocks, and eleven months later they are still our favorite toy. If you need an idea for Christmas, I very highly recommend them! They have served as a train, boat, school desks, spy headquarters, Barbie hotel, rocket ship, movie theater, prison for bad guys, and prison for siblings, to name just a few. Endless hours of creative play. Can't say enough about these. Wednesday, November 6, 2013. The new German word for this -.
