Life on the Farm: October 2014
http://kentonandholly.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 31, 2014. The kids have been asking to carve pumpkins for weeks. Mom brought us some from Minnesota. Davis WAS all smiles.until I overestimated his skill with a knife. He's got the bloody paper towels and bandaid to prove it, quite the seasonable motif. Jamison finally got into it and TOUCHED pumpkin innards. He didn't seem to mind until I mentioned "pumpkin guts" and his expression got a little queasy and he mumbled, "Don't say that! Which is actually the scariest part of the day). Not b...

Friday, January 31, 2014. Kenton preached recently at Cherry Glade. If you are interested in what he had to say, you can find it here. Http:/ cherryglade.org/Cherry Glade Mennonite Church/Sermons/Entries/2014/1/12 01 12 14.html. Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Megan made a tea party for the little girls. Kaitlyn and Emily had a wonderful time. Naturally we always drink out of teapots and put two spoons in our mouths. Monopoly continues to be popular with several family members. Ugh. Monday, January 27, 2014.

Tuesday, June 23, 2015. One of the great things about adoption is meeting the people involved with it and sharing your mutual passion for making a difference in the lives of kids. Several hours later we got more rain. I get so tired of the flooding. It's almost impossible to get anything to grow at the base of that waterfall.except weeds and violets. We have lots and lots of violets.or did anyway. After the thunder and lightning had passed, we sent them out. Nothing like having your own waterpark.

Not particularly speaking of nature and seasons in the true Japanese form, but fairly appropriate for my 3rd and 5th grade boys. You should hear their limericks. You have your kids write haikus? Im impressed. Im even more impressed that they could write them. May 1, 2013 at 9:20 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Each thought that is welcomed and recorded is a nest egg, by the side of which more will be laid." Henry David Thoreau. I admit we get a little crazy around here when it come to Christmas cookies. This year we did something good with the results of our obsession. Emma I and delivered MANY cookies to a local assisted living residents. We had a really good time and she wants to go back to visit some of the residents regularly. The chain became an added decoration to our tree this year. Visitors To The Nest.

A Tiny White Shirt. We are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In our religion, it is customary that a new baby be given a special blessing by their father soon after birth. They are blessed with certain things to help them in their life. In our church, men often wear white shirts when performing or participating in priesthood ordinances. Little Boy, as I carefully ironed your tiny white shirt this morning, I found myself getting a little emotional. You will be taught about Heaven...
