Look how much we’ve grown! Class 12 were measured at the beginning of the year, in the Spring term and then again today! They can’t believe how much they’ve grown! Year 1 had a fantastic pirate day on Friday! They wrote pirate poems, sang pirate songs and completed a treasure hunt leading to some delicious treats. They each wrote their own wanted posters, describing the crimes they had committed that would lead to them having to walk the plank! After eating lunch near Bamburgh castle in the lovely sunshi...

Estimating how much tea Mr Smith drinks! In maths this week we have been estimating number. Today we managed to get water all over the class by estimating and them measuring the capacity of containers. How much tea do you think Mr Smith drinks in a day? Pudsey came to visit! Throughout the school children had the opportunity to bring Pudsey to life in their own classroom! In Year 3 the children (at break time) were able to colour in Pudsey and watch as he came alive on the sheet! New year and a new Year 3.

The Start of Summer! Well, what a fabulous start to the summer term so far. Our topic this half term is Tudors. We have been reading various interesting Tudor stories, creating our own Tudor characters and using our hands to get creative, by making clay Tudor Roses. In Computing this half term, we have really enjoyed learning about animation and motion pictures. We have created our own motion picture using stick men. Take a look at our photos. Look out for those photos! Sewing a South American Pouch Bag.

This week in reception we have been looking at changes in liquids. We investigated how we could move coloured water from one cup to another by using kitchen roll and we observed the changes in the colours as they mixed together. We were very clever as we predicted that mixing blue and red together would make purple. This slideshow requires JavaScript. Why not start by telling us if your child can count to 20, can ride a two wheeled bike, or has just successfully managed to fasten their own coat! Could we...
