http://aussieadams.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 20, 2011. These are just a few of the flowers that I have. We drove about two hours south to a lovely area called Queen Mary Falls. It was like we were back in Britain. We had to drive through Killarney and Warwick. This is a small one on the way. Yes, we are out in the. We had a lovely. Walk down to the falls. We saw some pretty things along the path - and some not so pretty things. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). They make me smile. This too, shall pass.right? Birds of a feather.

The Aussie Adams: April 2012
http://aussieadams.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 13, 2012. Nevel and Hazel Hillier invited us, along with the Langelands, to share Passover with their family. Hazel is a Jewish convert and an excellent cook, both of which made the evening delightful. Understanding the symbols and traditions of the Passover brings light to the last supper and the sacrament. The Uniting Church on Albert Street holds a "Messiah" sing in the Sunday before Easter. We went with. Alan and Helen Tibbets to the rehearsal and performance with. Of the fun color.

The Aussie Adams: October 2011
http://aussieadams.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 30, 2011. Queen Elizabeth II has been visiting Australia. On Monday, October 24th, she came to Brisbane. She "sailed" down the river from Brett's Wharf to South Bank where she met with several hundred Queenslanders who were affected by the summer floods and cyclone. We walked down from Kangaroo Point to the river bank and joined thousands of people to wave and welcome her. We have enjoyed visiting some of the interesting churches here in Brisbane. The pipes inside are beautifully. This to...

The Aussie Adams: July 2011
http://aussieadams.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 8, 2011. We do love the Brisbane River - but without sand and surf it is just water, not beach. So on two separate "P" days, we went exploring for a beach. We started with the closest one called Nudgee Beach. It looked good on the map - sand, picnic tables, and swings. But when we got there we found no sand, just mud and no waves - disappointment! So the next time we went further north toward the Sunshine Coast to Bribie Island and. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). They make me smile.

The Aussie Adams: Ekka
http://aussieadams.blogspot.com/2012/08/ekka.html
Wednesday, August 29, 2012. The Ekka is Queenslands State Fair. This poor Aussie didn't. Get to see much of it though. There were lots of baby lambs. And baby chicks - or chooks. This is our friend Alan Tibbits. He and wife Helen live south in Jimboomba. He cooks for all the workers at the baby animal exhibit for the two weeks of Ekka. Lucky workers! This is how you eat bar-b-que ribs without a knife and fork. We watched big Toyota Heilx trucks go all the way around the. Track on two wheels.

The Aussie Adams: August 2011

Monday, August 22, 2011. Koalas and tassies and roos - oh my! We enjoyed watching them, and some watched back. There was a large paddock full of kangaroos. By going through double gates, we were able to walk around with heaps of roos. You could purchase pellets to feed them, but they were too well fed to want much. We were even treated to a kukaburra laugh. These are our fabulous Kangaroo Point missionaries: Elders Dorrough, Tito, Arnold and Chand. They are dedicated missionaries and we love them.

The Aussie Adams: May 2012
http://aussieadams.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 17, 2012. P-day May 7th was Labor Day in Australia. We joined the masses at the beach. We have wanted to go north to Scarborough - about a 45 minutes drive. Paul served in Scarborough, England which is also a beach community in the north east. The two are very different, but both lovely. We began collecting shells. I went down to the water's. Edge and noticed that most of the ones down there were. Moving. We gathered the ones at the high tide mark. Thinking that most of those would be empty.

The Aussie Adams: Beautiful Brisbane
http://aussieadams.blogspot.com/2012/07/beautiful-brisbane.html
Tuesday, July 24, 2012. Our favorite method of transportation into the city is always the City Cat. The Riverside Dock has a great view of the Marriott - the building with the domed top. There are always interesting skies. St Andrews Anglican Church. The War Memorial in Anzac Square. An aboriginal man playing a didgerydoo on Queens Street. More clouds and water. A city with a river requires many bridges. Our favorite is Story Bridge that connects Kangaroo Point with Brisbane City. They make me smile.
