Thoughts on my trip to Kenya. Monday, October 3, 2011. How great the love the Father has lavished on us! I thought I would write a follow up from my trip and what God has been and is teaching me through this experience. I know it's been a while since I got back, but it feels like just yesterday we were leaving to get on the plane to go on the most incredible summer of my life! God is faithful and he blessed us with an amazing opportunity to build life-long friendships in such a short amount of time.

Thoughts on my trip to Kenya. Wednesday, November 17, 2010. MTW Global Missions Conference! Dear Friends and Family,. On November 5th-7th Lauren and I went to the MTW Global Missions Conference. Imbumi and Martha Makuku (the MTW Missionaries we will be serving in Kenya) were both there. It was so great to hear from them and attend their Seminar on an update on the ministry in Kibera. Pray that God would provide, and be praying for Kenya and for the nations. The main worship service. Amount Needed: $6,997.

Thoughts on my trip to Kenya. Friday, June 3, 2011. A week ago today, we were boarding the plane. Wow, I can’t believe it! On Saturday, we went to the girls home, Shunam (from the story of the Shunammitte in 2 Kings 4), and met all of the girls and were able to spend time with them and get to know them more. It was so sweet! We will be spending every Saturday there with them, getting to know them and praying with them for the service on Sunday. I think this will be one of my favorite parts of the week.
