Sunday, March 6, 2011. Hello from Kenya. This morning, the team ministered at a church in Buru Buru. We were featured for about 45 minutes in two different children's church services. Children's church was held in a tent. It was so warm! The team did a wonderful job and many children raised their hands to ask for God's forgiveness. Darlene Gruber says,. Lauren Pignaloso says,. Tuesday, March 8, 2011. Tuesday Night -Heart Lodge. Our programs consists of songs, puppets, object lessons and stories all teaching children how to be good neighbors and good friends. Each night she turns on the TV and I fall asleep as she watches skaters and skiers and other winter olympians competing in Vancouver. Thursday, September 30, 2010. Apple Picking With New Grubers. Here I am apple picking in Pennsylvania. We have done this with Aaron, Jenny, and the kids since Caleb was a little guy. First, we eat lunch. A local church group sells hot dogs and drinks to raise money for missions. Mmmmmm, hot dogs. We wait with our apple buckets. Ride the hay ride wagon to the trees of our choice. Tuesday, March 15, 2011. Just Got Back From Kenya. I flew home from Kenya on Saturday and Sunday and boy are my arms tired. The picture above is one of me with kids from one of our school shows. My team and I were blessed to share Jesus with over 6000 kids last week. Many children raised their hands to ask Jesus to be their Savior and Friend. Sunday, November 21, 2010. Darlene and I went to New York City yesterday with a bus-load of friends from the college. We chose to explore NYC via the subway trains. It was fun and scary trying to figure out which train to ride on or what direction to go. Next time, I will bring a compass. We saw the statue of liberty from shore at Battery Park. Monday, November 21, 2011. FOR KIDS and OTHERS. It was a fabulous sunny day for sight seeing. We spent most of the day with Rick and Judy Dunham, a couple that work at the college with us. It was a great day in the city enjoying the sights and fellowship with the Dunhams. They had never spent time like this in NYC so much of it was new to them. Wednesday, July 21, 2010. Another Day At Camp. It is another day at camp! Darlene and I have been speaking at boys and girls camp a few weeks each summer for 30 years. Today is day 3 of our third of four weeks of camp this summer. Each day is full of fun activities like tubing down the creek, playing in the inflatables, or shooting BB guns or bow and arrows.
