Monday, November 3, 2008. I told him I have a boyfriend and told him I had to go. So finally he broke off and I went into the shop I needed to go to. When I came out of the shop he was still wandering around the streets, so I had to take a different route to try to avoid him. I didn't want him to follow me home! Oh, I love you! They really think they're in love! Would the guy turn around and bolt? My co-worker said yes, most likely. It's the fantasy. Men. It figures. Ha ha! Was he atleast hot?

Thursday, October 30, 2008. Voting from overseas is a complete pain in the ass! How hard is it to go to the fax machine and fax it? She handles overseas voters! She knows how to do this! A MONKEY could fax it! And am I really supposed to feel secure that she's going to get my ballot to the right spot to be counted or will it be sitting on her desk next Wednesday? Is she a Republican who just doesn't want me voting? I am so pissed off and will find a way to SUE her ass if she doesn't let me vote!

Monday, October 20, 2008. Pétanque in the Park. Here's Yann showing me the squat technique to throwing. Too hard for me - I had to do more of a one-legged lean. We always had to draw a throwing line in the gravel, but this time we got creative. After the throws we all look at where the balls are and calculate the points. I've learned that some people have never made huge piles of leaves and romped in them. As a kid I did it every Fall. So I talked some people into doing it with me!

Monday, November 3, 2008. Things I've Learned v.8. The butter pretzel is the most amazing snack. When I first got here I didn't like the pretzels that much, but now I love them. I think my favorite are from a bakery called Rischart. They have a good butter-pretzel ratio. Mmm! I will be returning with my arteries happily clogged. The European greeting kiss is difficult! For a US person a handshake is good enough. MAYBE a hug if you're close. But the air kiss? Do you make the "swak" sound?
