Reflections, by a Memory Hoarder: January 2012
http://reflectionsbyamemoryhoarder.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Reflections, by a Memory Hoarder. Friday, January 27, 2012. And while the extra money has been a lifesaver, it's not all about the dough. I really. Like freelancing. Even when I complain about the book, which I do sometimes (five hundred pages of Native American historical fiction can be rough to get through if it's not your niche), it's still fun. I'm getting paid to read. I'm getting paid to find errors, which is like a puzzle to me. I know they're going to be there, but where? One Year Notched Off.

A Touch of Joy: April 2010
http://johnniehaines.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
A Touch of Joy. Thursday, April 1, 2010. MARY, THE MOTHER OF JESUS. Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother. John 19:25. I have gained much spiritual insight and strength through my own experiences as a mom. My sons have taught me important lessons about love, faith, grace and mercy. They are also responsible for a fervent prayer life for me! I am not sure I ever grasped the reality of God giving up His one and only Son until I held my own sons in my arms. A Touch of Joy: June 2010
http://johnniehaines.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
A Touch of Joy. Wednesday, June 2, 2010. I do want to tell you about something wonderful God did for me in Israel that had nothing to do with the holy geography. We were each assigned to either a Blue or Green Bus to take us from place to place. I was on the Green bus. The first day we all did great in following our instructions (we were tired! With my propensity to plan and participate in parties, you can imagine the fun we all had. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Tim Price on The Tale of Two Masters.

A Touch of Joy. Tuesday, March 6, 2012. She let us cook elaborate dinners for our friends and never fussed about the messes we surely made. She took us to concerts and youth camps. As we got older, she had fancy dinner parties for us with china and crystal. She even let us throw a couple parties of our own! Is there a someone special from your childhood that you are thankful for? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Tim Price on The Tale of Two Masters. Sin Affects Our Relationship With Christ. The end of 2014.

A Touch of Joy: October 2011
http://johnniehaines.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
A Touch of Joy. Saturday, October 29, 2011. HAPPY FALL, FINALLY. I'm not much on Halloween. But I dearly love pumpkins. Fresh pumpkin pies, pumpkin muffins, bread and Starbuck's pumpkin spice latte all point to the fact that it's finally below 90 degrees in Houston. Of all the ways I love that fabulous fall fruit, I think I've discovered my favorite! Let me introduce Mr. Josiah Haines! Thursday, October 27, 2011. I grieved once again over a loved one who can't remember her name or her children. I fell mo...

Reflections, by a Memory Hoarder: A Tribute to Mimi
http://reflectionsbyamemoryhoarder.blogspot.com/2015/02/a-tribute-to-mimi.html
Reflections, by a Memory Hoarder. Saturday, February 28, 2015. A Tribute to Mimi. For those of you who knew my grandmother, you’ve seen the face. You know the one: the one she gave when she was being stubborn. When she was determined. When she was wordlessly expressing, “Oh, yeah? Me and R in front of Mimi's childhood. Apartment in Astoria, just three blocks from. Just a month after I moved out, Mimi had her stroke. I remember getting the call from my mom that she needed me to go to the hospital....But t...

A Touch of Joy: MY FATHER IN LAW
http://johnniehaines.blogspot.com/2012/02/my-father-in-law.html
A Touch of Joy. Saturday, February 11, 2012. MY FATHER IN LAW. One of my favorite things about him, is his voice. He has this incredible booming base voice. He spoke with it; sang with it and could correct an errant grandchild by just calling their name. I never heard him raise that voice and I never heard him say an unkind thing about anyone. He was kind and gracious to everyone. A very sweet tribute! February 13, 2012 at 8:54 AM. Tears in my eyes - may God be so very faithful to that beautiful couple!

Lessons Learned in the Garden of Life: December 2012
http://lessonslearnedinthegarden.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Lessons Learned in the Garden of Life. Wednesday, December 26, 2012. Renewed Focus, New Direction. This is an exciting time of the year for me. God faithfully uses the holiday season, from Thanksgiving through Christmas to the New Year, to stir my heart, clean out dry and useless areas of my life, and bring fresh direction for the coming year. Too often in past years, the busyness, focus on buying, wrapping and giving gifts, overload of preparations, overload of food and so many other distractions have d...
