I can say without a doubt that this season has been one of the best experiences in my life, probably only second to my first season in New Zealand. The snow, the people and the culture all played a part in this epic winter. This post is a mash-up of the last few weeks. Hiking to Niseko's peak with my bestie. Mongolian BBQ at The Loft Club. Keri ♥'s ❄. The Pursuit of Winter. Wednesday, October 10, 2012. Kiwiland Season IV: Done and Dusted. In the words of the Just for Laughs Festival: "Mommy (*sniff). It's over! This was the most action packed winter I've ever had, with responsibilities through the roof and emotions running high. There were amazing, joyous moments with friends, and then there was the shock and loss. You have to take the bad to appreciate the good. Snuggling up to Derek and Barbara. W/ the lovely Erica. Keri ♥'s ❄. The Pursuit of Winter. Sunday, August 25, 2013. Today, I went for my first run in a week, bridging the 8km gap between Sansou (staff accommodation) and Hirafu. For a little under an hour, I experienced rain, clouds, wind and blazing hot sunshine. All the while, two thoughts are going through my head:. B) I hope this isn’t radioactive, Fukushima rain. Truth be told, I went through the classic lows and highs I think all runners experience. Farm right in front of Sansou. A cloud veiled Yotei.
