Tuesday, June 18, 2013. Not really an update. I know, bad blogger. It took me visiting some blogs to realize that I have been really bad about keeping up with my own. So much for tracking the progress of this next adoption. Short version, my country is good with me adopting again, has offered an option, but it's getting the ministry to sign off on it that is slowing me down. Hitting that roadblock while I was knee deep in papers and finals made me throw in the towel, temporarily. Week 2: Spanish day camp.

Wednesday, January 23, 2013. 2 out of 3 ain't bad. But it isn't perfect neither. I have permission from the country, permission from an agency outside my province, but need the permission of my central authority in order to proceed with this next adoption. I am trying to remain positive, but I emailed the Ministry yesterday and the only answer I have received thus far is that I will get a definitive answer tomorrow. If not, another bridge to cross. Sunday, February 17, 2013. From E's Easter Birthday party 2 years ago? Yesterday, I practiced making balloon animals. Turns out, it's not that hard to do. If I have time, I will inflate the balloons ahead of time and then ask the kids what animals they want. Looks like I missed throwing E a party last year. Although much planning went in to her Disney birthday, all I did was reserve stuff. Not the same. Adoption # 2 timeline. Aug 13/12 - embassy arranges to send my file back to me. Saturday, January 26, 2013. What we do to keep ourselves busy. E's birthday is still months away, but as of today, the planning has begun. E, my sister and I had our first magic workshop this afternoon! We will be practising 3 tricks a week and picking the best for our homespun show. Tuesday, January 15, 2013. E and I play a game from time to time that reminds each of us how and why we love each other. It's a pretty basic game that shows we both love each other unconditionally but highlights the things we love about each other. For me, I love her because she is good natured, kind and smart. She says similar things about me. Today, she threw me through a loop a little because she asked "Mommy, do you know why I love you? She continued, "so I wouldn't have to grow up in an orphanage".
