Saturday, October 10, 2009. What a busy week we have had since Ethan has been home! He is doing wonderfully! We came home Wednesday, September 30, with no monitors or medication. His NICU pediatrician in Birmingham fully discharged us to our pediatrician here in Dothan. We do not have to go back to Birmingham for any follow-up appointments - PRAISE THE LORD! We are AMAZED that he is "fully recovered" after being so terribly sick, and we are so thankful for the Lord's healing power! Such a great update!

A couple of nights ago we put him to bed around 9:30 and didn't get up unitl 5:30! As I read Ethan's blog everyday I am reminded again about how far we have come. Seeing the pictures of tubes and reports of feedings and residuals floods my mind with memories from the 42 days in the NICU. Oh how great is our God! September 7, 2009.

Kangaroos, Koalas, and Q-flies, oh my! Land Down Under Pride. Australia has some horrendous ads. But when they manage to get it right, they do a fantastic job. They completely tap into that sense of Aussie pride, and even manage to touch a nerve in us ex-pats. There are some good ones coming out with the Olympics, but my favourite is one done by Telstra – I can’t help but smile every time I see it. Check it out here. I love the footy team and their "do-do-do-do-do"! Fixing a vacuum is hard…. So are we :).
