I created this blog to keep in touch with my quilting friends and family. Quilts 2011 and Prior. Sunday, June 22, 2014. A lot has happened in the last week. First, the design wall:. I'm still working on matching up the "sand" strips for the wedding table runners. I did get one completely finished. The final measurements are 13" x 40". I created this blog to keep in touch with my quilting friends and family. Quilts 2011 and Prior. Friday, November 21, 2014. Cross the Drunkard's Path Quilt Along. Back in 2009 I collected Drunkard's Path block variations and arranged them as a BOM for a group of quilting friends. I even hand dyed half yards of kona cotton especially for this project. Then I made two blocks and lost interest. My project has languished in a box for almost 5 years. This is going to be so pretty! November 21, 2014 at 5:41 PM.

I created this blog to keep in touch with my quilting friends and family. Quilts 2011 and Prior. Monday, August 11, 2014. Not many changes, just more progress with the table runners. Two more ready for quilting. This photo shows my process: first I match up the fabrics and tie them into bundles. Then I sew the strip sets. I don't cut the pieces until I'm ready to sew them to avoid fraying, stitches pulling out or pieces getting lost.. For more design walls. Links to this post. Labels: design wall monday.

I actually took this picture a few weeks ago, when I finished this for Judy's January Scrappy Challenge. Tuesday, February 25, 2014. This past weekend I attended Stitches West 2014. I've been before but never took any classes. I took two classes. One was making socks from the toe up with an afterthought heal and the other was intarsia. Enjoyed both. Monday, February 17, 2014. Ok this is not my design wall but it is my quilt I've made. I am starting a list of what I want to get done this year in both knitting and quilting. My going to challenge to myself is to shop my stash first.
