I'd planned on going apple picking anyway and making apple sauce and apple butter and was wondering how I could experiment with it for the jam. When Kaela. Raspberry Jalapeno Jam with minor shenanigans. Makes a little over 5 quarter pints. 1 cup frozen or fresh raspberries. 1/4 cup finely diced, seeded jalapeno peppers.

Dice up half a cup of dried cranberries (I used craisins because I hate seasonality. Or I'd rather use what I have than go try to source local dried cranberries in DC). Sautee on medium heat with 1/4 cup brown cider and 1/4 cider vinegar for 10 minutes, until the onions are translucent. I meant to take more, but then, you know, burning.

The fiancee is allergic to pears and I've eaten almost all of the 30 lbs of apples we picked in October (so much for apple butter). I already made apple chutney. Pear sauce seemed like something I wouldn't use, apple jam seemed boring and I just kept coming back to Lelonopo's pear chutney. Apple peeler on the pears (they were very firm) with relative success. 6 pounds ripe pears.

My TV addictions, then and now:. 2012: I have reached a point where most of what I do is watch things Ive already seen. I dont have the patience to pay attention to new things. Voyage of the Fan Van
Voyage of the Fan Van. I went to Chincoteague and all I got was an ear infection. Jun 23rd, 2015 at 7:22 PM. Nora has been complaining, off and on, about ear discomfort. It was finally uncomfortable enough that we made the decision, on Monday, to just push straight through and get home. 25 hours on the road. We got home at 6:55 local time, and had her in to the pediatrician at 9:15. But here are some pictures from the long drive home, as well as the delightful gift of nature that greeted me this evening.
