http://mad2008.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Running and other stuff. Thursday, 31 January 2013. Day 153 - five. Just five today, the usual Otley loop. Not much to report, still windy, Otley AC were out in force and its still windy! Five more miles takes the tally to 765. Wednesday, 30 January 2013. Day 152 - tired two. Long day, no energy for anything more than two miles. Still very windy, so battling in one direction, flying in the other! Still, another day ticked off and the running total rises to 760 miles. Tuesday, 29 January 2013. A relativel...

Running and other stuff: August 2013
http://mad2008.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Running and other stuff. Saturday, 31 August 2013. Day 365 - the 365 challenge, completed! Sluggish parkrun this morning, so as I coasted along knowing it wasn't going to be quick, I decided to run 20:13, which I did, almost timing it to perfection, just hesitating to walk the last couple of strides to the line. So, that's 365 days of running everyday, finishing with 3 miles in 20:13 and a total mileage of 2,013 miles. The year in numbers:. 4 ultra races including a new PB in the West Highland Way Race.

Running and other stuff: December 2012
http://mad2008.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Running and other stuff. Monday, 31 December 2012. Day 122 - a third of the way! Well, that's four months in, only eight more to go! I finished off 2012 with a five mile tour of Otley, probably my most well run training route. However, tonight's run included a detour to join the walkers (Pamela, Emma and Andy) down to the river to look at the Wharfe which is, once again, in full spate with very little drop over the weir. Quite spectacular but also quite scary in the dark. Sunday, 30 December 2012. Run to...

Running and other stuff. Thursday, 30 May 2013. Day 272 - five more. Bit tired again today but decided to stick to the schedule and went out and ran the usual Otley five. Nothing major to report, just five more miles run, and 1,485 miles since September. Wednesday, 29 May 2013. Day 271 - tired two. Yet another long working day, this time down to our head office, The Lodge, Sandy, Beds. An address I remember from Blue Peter days! Uneventful run. Rainy to start with, but nice, misty, rainy sunset. Having h...

Running and other stuff: September 2013
http://mad2008.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Running and other stuff. Wednesday, 18 September 2013. BUPA Great North Run 2013. Sunday saw my sixth Great North Run but, more importantly, Emma's first and very first half marathon. Still, race day arrived and there didn't seem to be any real nerves and no sense of backing out of the challenge - there was also over £400 in sponsorship for Save the Children riding on Emma's performance! My role was to act as pack horse! Then, at 10:40 on the dot, the gun went and.nothing happened! Well, not well back in...

Running and other stuff: February 2013
http://mad2008.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Running and other stuff. Thursday, 28 February 2013. Day 181 - and thats one thousand miles! Eight mile run out tonight to Bramhope and back. Felt really sluggish going up Leeds Road but things improved on the flat. So, after 181 days of running everyday I've now clocked up 1,006 miles! Next milestone, half way. Wednesday, 27 February 2013. Day 180 - brisk seven. Still, a good run, a solid seven miles and the tally is tantalisingly close to 1,000 miles at 998! Tuesday, 26 February 2013. Ran in brand new ...

http://mad2008.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Running and other stuff. Sunday, 30 June 2013. Day 303 - five. Quite a nice Otley five. Mostly run, but still some walking. Legs still tired. Thigh muscles still sore BUT, getting there. Five more miles means the tally now stands at 1,709. Saturday, 29 June 2013. Day 302 - Harrogate parkrun. First time at Harrogate parkrun this morning inn. Had to drop Emma off at work for a 9 am start rather than her usual 11.30, so perfect timing to fit in Harrogate parkrun. So, good to be back running. Out early for t...
