Ein besonderes Highlight war für mich die Wahl der Sportler des Jahres 2006 in der "Neuen Presse". Ich war als eine von acht "Damen" vorgeschlagen. Als ich dann bei der großen Sportlergala im Circus Mama Africa in Coburg zu den TOP 3. Gehörte und auf die Bühne musste, war mir zwar etwas mulmig, aber ich habe das schnell gemeistert. Mit 733 Stimmen belegte ich den 3. Platz bei den "Damen" und war sehr stolz. Dafür interessierte sich dann auch das Fernsehen und ich gab mein erstes TV-Interview.
