This old world ain't got no back door. Thursday, May 14, 2009. I was born a ramblin' (wo)man. At the Wicklow giftshop, I came across something that changed my life forever. There was a little rack of Winnie-the-Pooh stickers with names on them, so that children might pick out their own name and be able to slather all of their belongings with Tiggers and "This Belongs To " inscriptions. At any rate, while browsing through the R's I found MY OWN NAME! This Belongs To RORY"! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

This old world ain't got no back door. Tuesday, April 21, 2009. What is my purpose in staying here for so long? What am I accomplishing, really? SEE WHAT I THINK ABOUT WHEN LEFT TO MY OWN DEVICES? This old world ain't got no back door. Wednesday, April 8, 2009. Rory and Andrew Do Dublin. Recap of Andrew's Visit:. Andrew came to Dublin on the morning of Sunday, March 15th. He was slightly delayed because there were boatloads of people (mostly Americans and Spaniards) piling into Ireland for St. Patrick's Day on the 17th. We spent most of our first afternoon resting and eating full Irish breakfast-type stuff. I answered a warm heart, and he said, "Oh, no. warm knickers! Bwa Ha Ha Ha! Needless to say...

This old world ain't got no back door. Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Because I'm pressed for time this week, here's a quick top ten favorite parts of my Barcelona weekend:. 1-Gee whiz, alcohol is cheap. Wine is actually cheaper than water in most restaurants. The cocktails are about four times stronger than the ones in Dublin, at half the price. . On this subject. It's a public access link, for those of you who have excommunicated yourselves from the Facebook world (Cameron? 7-The subway system is very c...

This old world ain't got no back door. Wednesday, March 4, 2009. I've been exhausted. All week. Do you want to know why? THE PAVACHS ARE HERE! My mom, dad, and sister landed in Dublin on Saturday morning. They were groggier than I expected, but then, I guess I forgot how wretched the flight can be, especially if it isn't direct. They brought me a few of my dresses, my critter shorts, and a new pair of keds, so I'm completely ready for Irish spring. Ps A new revelation about Ireland: The commericals.

This old world ain't got no back door. Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Wowie zowie. I turned in three of my of my five solitary assessments for classes yesterday, and let me tell you, it's a huge load-off. Five thousand words is far too much for one paper. I've got one more paper due next week, but then I'm done until the end of May, when I take my Old English exam. I'd feel like such a slacker-pants. For it, you should check it out. Very Irish humor. I hope your Marches are going out like lambs. So there you h...

This old world ain't got no back door. Thursday, January 29, 2009. One is Silver, the other Gold. I MADE FRIENDS. New ones! They are all from America, but they're new to me, and we have so much fun together. My flatmates went on a International Students Society trip to Galway the same time I did, and met a few new people. We all went out for drinks last Tuesday night, and lo and behold, these people and their friends are all lovely. This is my biggest piece of news in a long while. Go see it right now!
