Friday, June 25, 2010. Who's allowed in your fort? We have come a long way (with dad's help) in our fort designs. Vance's first forts. Were very simple but filled him with joy. Vance's latest fort was built with assistance from dad and oh the joy that was found! The fort was up for a week and slept in for three nights straight. I love little boys! Chris, Jen, Grant & Eleanor: Nook Area
http://chrisandjen.blogspot.com/2013/04/nook-area.html
Chris, Jen, Grant and Eleanor. Monday, April 29, 2013. We have called this area the Nook, but honestly I am not really sure how this area will be used yet. It's right off the kitchen and the door to the garage. This is what it looked like originally. Giant black iron wood burning stove, lovely brick floor and blue carpet. Chris installed all the flooring and ended up needing to replace the sub flooring where the brick floor had been and a lot of the area around it. You can see how depending on the light ...

http://www.therobinsays.com/2013/09/oh-yeah-and-i-had-baby.html
Oh yeah, and I had a baby. Obviously I've neglected this blog for quite some time. Which it too bad because a lot has happened since the last post. And I'm not feeling particularly ambitious to give a in-depth post, so it's another bullet list addition. Ready? Tom's mom came in town for a visit! She was great helping out with Cami (spoiling her) and being generally awesome. Always sad to say "goodbye.". Oh yeah, and we had a baby! Born August 3, 2013. 7 lbs 14 oz. Just a few hours old. Happy Hawkins Family: December 2009
http://akhawkinsspot.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 29, 2009. I like Santa now! Due to past exposure to a 4 foot singing dancing Santa, Vance has had a fear of Santa and continually told me that he does not like Santa. This all changed after he opened his gifts from Santa Christmas morning. He now exclaims, "I like Santa now! Dad: Vance, you want to help mom open her stocking? Vance (with an excited look on his face): For the camera! Well, guess you better open this one next. Who do you belong to? Vance (from the bathroom): Mom! They pla...

Thursday, May 7, 2009. What we've been doing. . . I haven't blogged for a while. Christmas happened, 37 weeks of pregnancy happened, and our house happened, and now it is May. Here is a tiny taste of our life during the past few months. . . Very homemade, but it turned out alright. AND, of course, cooking a baby! More to come on that. . . Love the cake, love the house, love the car seat cover, love the weightlifting and especially love that your little girl is almost here! May 7, 2009 at 4:44 PM. I am a ...

Our Life: Legs
http://janklife.blogspot.com/2010/02/legs.html
Tuesday, February 23, 2010. She will probably hate me for this one day:-) That is what I call HEALTHY! Is that what I am too? Alison was also diagnosed with Ocular Motor Apraxia, specifically because she needs to thrust her head to get her eyes where they need to be. Her head thrusting is MUCH less noticeable than Benson's, and because of that the pediatric opthamologist thinks this may be an X-linked trait. Meaning some male on my side of the family would have had to have it. Grandpa Hill? 365 Days of C...
