Friday, February 6, 2015. I had a good friend recently who told me I reminded him of King David. You remember David, right? He slayed Goliath. He ruled the kingdoms of Israel and Judah. He was the father to Solomon and his bloodline led to Jesus himself. He's so important to the 3 monotheistic religions (Christianity, Judaism, and Islam) that he is revered in all 3 as a prophet and Psalmist. He was a warrior, a poet, a friend. He is listed as one of the 9 Worthies. He is represented in art by Michelangelo.
