Communication in the ICU. Design products for healthcare Erasmus Medical Centre Team project Feb 2008 – Jun 2008. In this project communication problems in the intensive care are studied. Based on literature and interviews with ICU nurses three design directions were determined. These design directions resulted into concepts, which were evaluated with ICU nurses. A Diary that is filled-in by both the nurse and the family. The diary is valuable for the patient to cope with the black space in his mind.
