Ham Radio, QRP and Summits On The Air. Monday, July 6, 2015. SOTA Activation of Summit 9036 or W0C/FR-125 5 July 2015. I did not post an alert to the SOTA website because I was not sure we would be activating anything or not. We pressed on and got setup on a nice rock outcropping. I chose this spot due to the large tree next to it which allowed me to deploy the end fed in a vertical configuration. I used all the pictures (even the one of Lynn's thumb) in the video so here it is:. KR7W's Ham Radio Blog.

Ham Radio, QRP and Summits On The Air. KB4OGI in his shack. I found out some years later that my Dad, who was a career Marine of 30 years retiring as a SgtMaj in 1971, initially went in the USMC to become a radio operator but failed out of the code school and became an Infantry man. Funny how he was mostly a CW operator as a ham. KB4OGI achieves Worked All States in 1990. KB6PBR is now KJ6TL. I contacted Richard who is now KJ6TL and he was kind enough to send me the article as the one Dad had was in very...

K 0 J Q Z: December 2014
http://k0jqz.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Ham Radio, QRP and Summits On The Air. Sunday, December 21, 2014. Knights Peak (W0C/FR-144) with wG0AT Boo and Peanut. Steve and I decided to do another Friday activation before Christmas. It was a cool day in the Front Range expected to get into the 40s and it was a balmy 19 degrees at the TH of Knights Peak. Knights Peak is off of Old Stage/Gold Camp Road and very near to 9410 which we activated last week. I got no points for this one as I have already activated it this year but still a lot of fun.
