Photo by Timothy O’Shea Photography. Barbara Breckenridge received a lifesaving kidney transplant at ECMC in 1999. Barb works tirelessly in the community, providing education on kidney diseases and prevention. She provides peer counseling for dialysis patients, transplant patients and their families and also facilitates a kidney support group at ECMC. Barbs work has earned several awards:. St Joseph the Worker award from the Diocese of Buffalo. Gift of Life award from the National Kidney Foundation.

灣仔「同德押」拆不拆，一直關注。 今日翻報紙，有報道說「同德押」可列入二級保護建築物。 但願「當舖大王」的物業，可免「粉身碎骨」之厄運也。 跟「同德押」可謂「朝見口，晚見面」。 古色古香，已成軒尼詩道的「地標」。 8593;正在拆卸的灣仔「同德押」。 8593;灣仔「同德押」拆不拆，讓人關注。 1938年，同德押由「當舖大王」李右泉承租。 高可寧家族是港澳老牌富豪家族，多年來保持低調，但高可寧的傳奇一生卻傳遍兩地。 生於1878年的高可寧，祖籍廣東番禺，早年喪父後，曾離鄉賣唱為生。 1911年投得澳門番攤攤館經營權，首次涉足賭業，並開設多間當押店和銀號。 8593;1938年，同德押已由「當舖大王」李右泉承租。 高可寧家族在香港有「灣仔地王」之稱。 除了同德押，早於1939年已購入莊士敦道181號地段，即現時的大有大廈及商場。 8593;「同德押」位於灣仔軒尼詩道（左）同馬師道（右）交界，是一座完整的轉角唐樓建築物。 高可寧逝世後，家族生意交由兒子高福全、高福球等人打理。 澳門政府把一條街道名為「高可寧紳士街」以表揚他的慈善貢獻。 8593;天樂里口擴闊工程動工，1977年。 8593;軒尼詩道...
