Sunday, November 13, 2011. Of course, there were things I liked as well as disliked, but I prefer to share with all of you the positive parts of Egypt and all the things I did on my trip to Alexandria and Cairo. Enjoy! We spent the day out in Alexandria and taking a stroll along the Mediterranean Sea. My favorite thing about Alexandria is the sea. It brings so much beauty to the hectic life of the city. :). We always saw fisherman out on our walks. A view of the west shore side of Alexandria. A Mashrou (...

Sunday, March 21, 2010. Snow or no snow? Instead, we visited two villages (Alguilar del campo and Barruelo) around Palencia (we did end up driving up the mountains to see how much snow there was, but there was not enough for tobogganing), then we had lunch in Barruelo, and visited a mine (well a reproduction of a mine) which was actually very interesting to visit. In this particular area of Palencia there are a lot of carbon mines. Me, Paula and Elisa in front of an old mining cart. Old mining homes, the...

Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Frosty the snowman.in Valladolid! Just a little note: It snowed today for about 2 hours in Valladolid! I was with some of my 1ESO students, who were practicing their plays in the auditorium, when we walked outside into the school's courtyard and it was snowing! I couldn't believe it. I mean only once in a blue moon does it snow in Valldolid; it normally doesn't get cold enough to snow. Apparently, today being at -4C, it was cold enough to snow! Snow covering the leaves.
