Monday, 4 May 2015. Term two started with a focus on ANZAC Day. We participated in a school-wide remembrance service. We made poppies and thought about why we wear them. Georgia and Jemima shared about this at the service. It was great to see so many parents and relatives. Here is Abby with her grandfather who was one of our visitors at our service. Monday, 8 June 2015. Learning about Simple Machines. This week we are preparing for our trip to the City and Sea Museum on Thursday. We're going to be learning about how inventions have changed transport in Wellington over time. The Cable Car is a vehicle that changed daily life in Wellington when it was built, and it uses some simple machines as it works. There is a pulley at the top of each blind in Kowhai. The inclined plane can help lift Nathan into the classroom in his walker or wheelchair.

O is for opinion R if for reason, E is for explain and O is for opinion again. Carina wrote about how Dogs were better than cats and Phoebe wrote that strawberries are better than blueberries.
