Kicking Cancer

Tuesday, November 18, 2008. Sorry for the lack of updates. The scans of course showed NO SIGNS OF LYMPHOMA. So I am officially in REMISSION. I expect this to be the FINAL REMISSION and I will never have to deal with this again. My blood counts are near normal. My energy level is actually very good but I am still taking it easy. My taste is back (for the most part), but I still get a little nauseated from time to time. I still get people commenting on my "why NOT me? Posted by Robbie at 7:57 PM. 2 weeks o...

Kicking Cancer: Transplant + 5

http://www.kickcancer.blogspot.com/2008/10/transplant-5.html

Wednesday, October 15, 2008. Ive probably felt worse today than I have in awhile. My counts. Cotinue to bottom out, but not enough for a transfusion. My main problem now are these terrible mouth sores. It feels like. Strep throat- but until my body creates some white blood cells, Its. The nurse keeps pushing the morphine- that it would help, so I may. Have to have some before the day is over. Good news: I still havent spiked a fever yet, which usually happens. To patients in my condition.

Wilhite's Woodside: January 2010

http://honitrav.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

Musings on the wonderful life and times of Honore, Travis, Hope Elizabeth and Brutus. Sunday, January 31, 2010. Update Hope's 2nd Birthday. Tonight, we held my beautiful daughter's second birthday party. She was born yesteraday, two years ago, but we held the party tonight because last night we had family night. So I'm feeling unusually emotional, and I'm not terribly great at that if you didn't guess already. Just seeing the picture montage(sp? Yesterday, Honore and I took her to the Shedd Aquarium for ...

Wilhite's Woodside: October 2009

http://honitrav.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html

Musings on the wonderful life and times of Honore, Travis, Hope Elizabeth and Brutus. Monday, October 12, 2009. Wow, how time flies. I didn't realize it has been so long since I posted, so I better get something down. We've been really busy, as you might imagine with Hope now becoming a full-on toddler. She's entering the independent phase where every question we ask is answered, "No-no.". Hope are you thirsty? No-No" between sips on her sippee cup. Or Hope, did you poopy? Guess, part of the truth of not...

Musings on the wonderful life and times of Honore, Travis, Hope Elizabeth and Brutus. Thursday, October 9, 2008. I'm sorry I don't write as much now, I'm going to start writing a bit more. It was nice to have a little break from blogging, but I miss the chance to have a conversation with myself about everything that's been happening. Someone asked me today if writing the blog during my treatment was cathartic for me. I would have to say in a way, it certainly was. Wednesday, October 1, 2008. Honore is do...

Musings on the wonderful life and times of Honore, Travis, Hope Elizabeth and Brutus. Tuesday, July 10, 2012. A Moment of Peace. Last night, Honore and I attended the funeral for a close friend of ours who was a cancer survivor also. Musings on the wonderful life and times of Honore, Travis, Hope Elizabeth and Brutus. Tuesday, December 23, 2008. Every once in a while, something happens that stops me dead in my tracks. Today, when I got home from the last of my last minute shopping, and finished up my wrapping, I decided to lay down for a nap. I've been running pretty hard lately and can feel myself wearing out. However, before crawling into bed, I decided to check my email. And that's when it happened. So in the midst of all the page...

Musings on the wonderful life and times of Honore, Travis, Hope Elizabeth and Brutus. Sunday, January 9, 2011. When you are having fun, and chasing a two year old. Well, it's been way too long since I last posted, but truthfully, I've been happy to let things go and just live a little. As a survivor with a disease will most likely return, it's nice to spend a little time away from it. Never truly away from it, but more focused on life than on the disease. Health wise, I'm doing great. I still have te...

Wilhite's Woodside: September 2008

http://honitrav.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html

Musings on the wonderful life and times of Honore, Travis, Hope Elizabeth and Brutus. Monday, September 22, 2008. I can hardly believe I was let out of Northwestern only a week ago this morning. It feels like a lifetime ago. Some of that's because I still don't have the strength or energy to get out and do alot, so the days go by pretty slowly. And some of it is the mind doesn't remember pain, and I'm forgetting alot of what happened. Wednesday, September 17, 2008. T 14 Home Again. From Saturday when the...

TRACI'S BLOG: Week 8 - Angels at my Door

http://tracidiggs.blogspot.com/2008/08/week-8-angels-at-my-door.html

This blog was developed to keep my friends and family updated on what's happening with me. Sunday, August 10, 2008. Week 8 - Angels at my Door. Sisters are like angels. They lift us up on our own feet. When our own wings have trouble. Remembering how to fly. On Saturday we had planned to get out of the house and get some fresh air because I was feeling pretty good. But then I heard a very familiar sound coming from my front door. It was in unison and one that I had not heard like that since I ple...8221;...

TRACI'S BLOG: September 2008

This blog was developed to keep my friends and family updated on what's happening with me. Thursday, September 18, 2008. Round 4 Brings Hope and Joy. I know it's been a while since I last posted but I have had bronchitis for the past week. It was definitely no fun and I lost my voice completely. I am now back on track - still a little hoarse - but definitely doing better. I look to the hills from whence cometh my help. I found out some of the best possible news today. In fact, the doctor said that after ...
