Monday, March 30, 2009. Sunday Dinners and get togethers. I loved our sunday dinner! Thanks for the ideas tiff! I think we should do healthy meals at every get together from now on. We could even incorporate our healthy desserts that we've if we need that extra sweetness! I'm feeling so much better. We are building better habits - It wont happen automatically, so don't feel discouraged when we "slip" back into the old habits, just keep on getting back on track - fill the fridge and cuboards (and food storage [Nana did]) with the good stuff (throw out the bad) and remember to "Chop those veggies"! Monday, April 11, 2011. So I got this recipe from a friend and made it last night. yummy! Nothing fancy, but I wasn't able to get a picture of it because, between the kids and I, it's already gone! So here it is:. Preheat oven to 275*F. 4 c rolled oats. 1 c wheat germ. 1/2 c flax seeds (I gently grind mine so it's digestible). 3/4 c protein powder (I use whey based vanilla flavor). Mix these together in a large bowl, then in another bowl mix:. Pour liquid mixture over dry ingredients. Stir thoroughly.

Monday, April 11, 2011. This is a great discovery as a replacement for cream cheese and the like. It takes on the flavor of whatever you add it to! 2 quarts low-fat plain yogurt. Place 4 layers of damp cheesecloth in a fine mesh sieve or colander. Place the colander over a bowl. Add yogurt and let it drain overnight in the refrigerator. Discard the water from the bowl. Tuesday, May 19, 2009. Just thought I'd share! I've been loving the fat free vegan recipes website, and I have tried a few that I loved! I'll just tell you which ones and you can go to the link! The kid friendly recipes are great! We tried "chinese spaghetti" and it was delicious, except I substituted in rice pasta instead. We had these the other night and they turned out really good.
