How time flies.I can remember thinking when I was pregnant how much fun it would be to dress Avery up for Halloween and it seemed like it was forever away. Well, her first Halloween has come and gone and our little pumpkin got dressed like a pumpkin. We got her the 6-9 month sized costume, and wow, uh, it barely fit her! She's growing like a weed! But she was so cute and didn't seem to mind it too much. Just smiles and love and cuddles abound! And Mom and Dad!

Ali and Ben Avery. Monday, August 31, 2009. Another house update, more photos and a cute video. We finally got the second appraisal finished on the house and the number came back right where we wanted it. We will hopefully get final approval from our lender this week and maybe even close by Friday. If there are any hold ups we'll not be able to close until next week sometime and move on the 10th or 11th, so we shall see how things fall into place. Really, just looking cute. My cute hat that finally fits!

Ali and Ben Avery. Monday, April 27, 2009. Nursery update and belly photos. For another baby related update, here are some photos from the shower that my mom hosted for us a few weeks back. She did great! It was great to spend time with close friends and my family! And here is the aftermath of two awesome showers (keep in mind that I had another shower at work and got some wonderful stuff from them as well, so imagine this room even more full than it currently shows below). 35 weeks (taken tonight).

Ali and Ben Avery. Sunday, October 18, 2009. Well, we moved! So that's why no post in so long. The last month was gone so fast.I am still turned around a bit. We are in Parker, not Highlands Ranch, but everything happens for a reason, and I truly believe we were meant to find this house. Tons more room than the other one, space to grow into, yard, park, pool, etc! So far it's been great and the commute into Denver hasn't been terrible. I guess we'll see with snow how it really is? Ali and Ben Avery. Friday, February 27, 2009. Baby Girl Lowe's first portraits! Mommy's nose, Daddy's lips! I passed the gestational diabetes screen, so from here on out, no more major testing. Mostly just going to be monitoring me and watching my blood pressure, weight, BGL's. Growth, etc. I visit the doctor every two weeks now until about 34-36 weeks. Then I'll be there once a week. Ali and Ben Avery. Tuesday, December 23, 2008. Just got off the phone with the doctor. I got my blood work. Results back from my appointment last week. My Downs Syndrome screening came back negative, which means that I am outside the result window for concern or even more testing (like a super scary looking amnio. As for Cystic Fibrosis, my chances of having a baby inflicted with that are 1/12,000. And then for Trisomy. 18 and/or 13, my chances are 1/23,000. So those numbers are really excellent! I love ...
