Lake Lure to the Kickstand Lodge. This map has been edited for clarity. Many roads have been removed. The quickest route to the KSL is hwy 74A to I 40 and 23 through Sylva. This route is about 105 miles or roughly 2 1/2 hours. Highway 64 through Hendersonville, Highlands and Franklin to hwy. 28 is about 130 miles or almost 4 hours. Lots of twisties and great scenery! Taking the Blue Ridge Parkway from Asheville to Cherokee is about 135 miles or about 4 hours. Another route with great scenery!
