Special Olympics Young Athletes. Special Olympics Young Athletes. Kid*Ability is now offering the Special Olympics Young Athletes program! This program helps children with intellectual disabilities ages 2 to 7 become familiar with sports and prepare to compete in the Special Olympics once they are eligible at age 8. Through fun activities over the course of 8 weeks, kids will learn fundamental skills necessary for participation in a variety of sports.
