Monday, February 2, 2015. I've clothed diapered for years. All 7 of my kids have been cloth diapered at some point in their lives, some more than others. I've had 10 years of experience. Thousands of diaper changes, rinses, and washes. As I'm rinsing out my umpteenth diaper for the day, yesterday, I flush the toilet to help wring out the diaper insert, and. I LET GO OF IT. Gone And it wasn't a tiny insert. This sucker is at least 12 x 5 inches, and at least 4 layers of microfiber. Luck or lack of.

Sunday, February 1, 2015. I made one of those. And it's eating me alive. See, I felt like I couldn't possibly be a mom, and a dad, and teach the kids the way they should be. So, after a particularly horrible day, I decided to put the kids back in school. After one day of school, and a half day at that, I feel guilty. Extremely guilty. I feel like I've failed the kids for life. Want to know why? My preschooler is adding numbers up to 20. The public school 1st graders are adding 8 1. Utah, United States.

Saturday, February 14, 2015. I'm not really big on Valentines Day, it's just, another day. Maybe because the hubby NEVER gets me anything, ever. We made him a few things, though, because he's away, and why not. Plus, it makes him feel guilty. Briar Rose wanted in on the action. I bought some fabric markers for the kids and had. Them color on a pillowcase. I figured, with their. Dad gone, this would be something with a purpose. This is the finished product. And then, the card full of glitter.

Saturday, February 14, 2015. My neighbor came over today with a rose. She had received some surprise valentines and thought the the kids and I had been behind it. In fact, I had been in bed all morning. Well, upon waking and seeing the rose, I asked the kids why. They told me the neighbor came over and why. I immediately decided that I now had to make her something. I decided on stained glass crafts. I used Con-Tact paper and tissue paper, plus a little glitter, and construction paper for the border.

Monday, February 2, 2015. That Didn't Take Long. So, my kids get me. They agree with me! Not one of them wants to go back to school tomorrow! They couldn't quite pinpoint why, they just knew that school was not the place they wanted to be. Boy does that relieve a lot of stress for me. Not to mention, I was so completely bored. It doesn't take much to keep a 15 month old and a 5 year old happy. I guess, tomorrow, I get to go explain to the district why I've changed my mind. Wish me luck. Luck or lack of.

My good friend, Fran, lives in Surprise, AZ, so I was tickled to go with Clark and spend some time with her. She drove over to Scottsdale on Wednesday and we spent the afternoon in the Desert Botanical Garden. I had no idea there were so many different kinds of cacti. A Micky Mouse cactus. A Hershey's kiss is the face, a chocolate dipped cherry is the body and tail, and sliced almonds for the ears - all set on 1/2 of an Oreo cookie. Tuesday, March 6, 2012. Basket Ball with the Boys. The two oldest grandsons were both playing Jr. Jazz/Rec Center basket ball this winter. We made a couple of trips to the city to watch them. It was the first year Lije (#40) has played. He did pretty good, even made a few baskets during the season. Mick has played for several years. We think of him as a fairly tall kid, but he was certainly not the tallest on his team this year. It is so fun to watch the kids and be part of their lives. Life As We Know It.
