moments-n-between: June 2015
http://moments-n-between.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Reading, writing and promoting other amazing authors. View my complete profile. Thursday, 25 June 2015. Author Ami Allen-Vath is here talking Liars and Losers Like Us. In a past post I talked about Twitter and how even a social media hermit like me has found Twitter not only useful, but essential to getting out there and known in the writing community. It wasn’t Twitter exactly that brought Ami Allen-Vath and I together, it was the wonderful Sun Versus Snow contest held by Michelle Hauk. I don’t kn...

Dealing With Demons: January 2013
http://jackykendricks.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Of the writing variety. Tuesday, January 29, 2013. I’m going to be trying something different for the Kassidy books. I’d like it to be an open-ended trilogy. It’ll work with the series arc I have planned, and I’d like for there to be more books in the series than three. There will be more in the series than three. So I want to get the series arc set up, but concluded satisfactorily in the first three books, so that if worst comes to worst, my fans won’t be disappointed. We’ll see how well this works.

Dealing With Demons: A Difference in Character
http://jackykendricks.blogspot.com/2013/01/a-difference-in-character.html
Of the writing variety. Monday, January 14, 2013. A Difference in Character. Kassidy, on the other hand, pulls away. Isolates herself. She’s used to working alone. While she’s glad to have someone watching her back while she heals, she’s convinced he’s going to get in her way. (Again. Because he’s already interfered with her job once.). I guess only time will tell, right? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Yes, I think so. View my complete profile. Always a Sad Day. A Difference in Character. Manuscript...

Redemption Road: May 2011
http://happycat7.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 27, 2011. How Do You Know When You've Found Your Voice? There’s a lot about writing that seems almost mystical – to people who don’t write, and even to those of us breathing in this damn, frustrating, lovely, mind-sucking, hole of death what we call writing. Can you hear my voice? But what you’re saying seems beside the point when you’re talking about voice, right? Remember when you were in high school? That kid. The one who wanted to be someone special, but didn’t know quite how to...Yeah, w...

Redemption Road: February 2013
http://happycat7.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 21, 2013. I always had one – loose leaf, spiral bound, whatever color suited my fancy when the last page of my previous journal was filled. Of course, this was before you had phones that were basically little computers. Back when handwriting was what you did to get the idea down somewhere until you could get to your computer. Me: Hey, I left your work on your bed. But that notebook is mine. You didn’t read it, did you? Me: No. That’s yours. The notebook’s mine. Links to this post.

Do the write thing: Simple by Marie-Aude Murail
http://bsoulflowers.blogspot.com/2015/03/simple-by-marie-aude-murail.html
Monday, March 2, 2015. Simple by Marie-Aude Murail. I decided to give the 7 Continents Reading Challenge. Another try. I didn't finish it two years ago because study literature took up too much of my reading time. I hope this time around I'll manage. If you're interested, you can read the details about the challenge here. For my first country/book, I chose France. As one of the countries with the most immigrants. Simple. I wouldn't say Simple. Do the write thing: November Rain
http://bsoulflowers.blogspot.com/2014/11/november-rain.html
Friday, November 7, 2014. Well, hello there November. Where did you come from? Here's an overdue update with the (short) list of my latest publications. Becoming in Touch: The Journal of Healing. Autumn Garden in Bukker Tillibul. Don't Mocha Me in Litro Magazine. I hope you'll find something enjoyable amongst the pieces. I've been working on longer works lately, hence the lack of shorts and poems. I'm also procrastinating watching YouTube and Pinterest. Oh, the hardships of being a writer. ;-).

Do the write thing: Dream dinner destination
http://bsoulflowers.blogspot.com/2014/11/dream-dinner-destination.html
Friday, November 28, 2014. Choosing a dream destination is very difficult. There are so many wonderful places I’ve visited and so many more that I haven’t seen yet. But ultimately, I chose Australia. Sydney from a ferry. I guess you can crash against a language barrier even when you speak the language. Regional dialects can be confusing but they’re also what makes languages so beautiful and unique. Australia has great seafood . And terrific wines. ( Yering winery. So rather than being scared off by Aussi...

Do the write thing: July 2013
http://bsoulflowers.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 6, 2013. My surfing adventure started with an earlier book by Fiona Capp, the young adult novel Night surfing. I was intrigued by the surfing world that she presented in it, having tried surfing and finding it to be an extremely taxing activity, so I decided to buy That oceanic feeling. A surfing odyssey,. And when I found a second hand edition I read it right away. In contrast to Night surfing. In That oceanic feeling. Also means ‘to speak secretly’. I set about finding more about Fiona C...
