Some Poems by Ken. At 4 am there were crowds in the streets. You slipped on your robe and went outside. A man told you the moon would soon crash. Just then it circled at the level of a kite. A moment later, an explosion shook the earth. These things happen, you said. And went back to sleep. My Dad knew he would die. I’m glad now he said as much. It was not the shock it might have been. Still, your knees give way. Anyway, it’s kind of a selfish thing. To die young if you had children late. Will be as empty.

We’re thrilled to report that Jace received his transplant on September 1, 2014! At age 16, Jace’s kidneys failed. Thankfully, his mother was a match and donated a kidney to save her son’s life in 1999. Sadly, that kidney failed in 2010, and Jace began dialysis treatments three times a week while waiting for a second transplant. Thank you for your generosity!
