Saturday, May 30, 2009. Grizzly Bear - Veckatimest. The group has been together since around 2004 and have made three records, counting their latest release Veckatimest. The actual compositions are reserved, but still very intricate and meticulously crafted. Multi-instrumentalist band member, Chris Taylor produced the album beautifully. The reverbs and space created inside the songs are masterfully sculpted. The sounds are warm and inviting and the music is sophisticated and adventourous. I Live with You.

Monday, March 22, 2010. Bombay Bicycle Club - I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose. Just with one listen to Bombay Bicycle Club, it is clear that these guys are the British-est of the British. The English drawl of singer Jack Steadman (no relation to Ralph), is smooth and intriguing. Fast paced and simple songs create a pop vibe with a somewhat darker undertone. These guys are young and are probably going to get even better. For now, this is a great debut. DOWNLOAD AND SHAKE THEM BLUEZ. The Best of 2009.

Not only were psych-pop starlets MGMT announced to be featured on one song, but electronic duo Ratatat was noted as the producer to several of the tracks.
