Miss Lovejoy's Class: New Math Unit

We are starting a new unit in math and are excited to learn about shapes! We will be focusing on triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, and 3-dimensional shapes. We want the students to be able to recognize these shapes, label how many edges (sides), vertices. Corners), and faces (flat surface on 3-dimensional shapes) these shapes have. We will also teach the students about halves, thirds, and fourths and expect them to identify, label, and divide squares and cirlces. Posted by Sonya Lovejoy.
