Our family game night options are growing but we seem to play the same game every week. Wits and Wagers Family. From North Star Games. The kids are totally obsessed with this one! Play begins with when the first player reads a trivia question aloud. Like my husband's answer to the tennis ball question above - 23 lo...

Slowing down to enjoy life's big adventures. Letter of the Week. Letter of the Week. Little M is on a Letter of the Week journey. The plan is to cover each letter and include a review week after every five or so letters. Each week will have a theme that goes along with the letter being studied. Such as apples, butterflies, etc. We will use a spine book and one or two other books with the same theme. Hopefully we will have a lapbook. Here are the links to the letters we have completed so far:.

Slowing down to enjoy life's big adventures. Letter of the Week. Sunday, December 18, 2011. TOS Review: Vintage Remedies. I used to dread the cereal aisle of the supermarket. It seems innocent enough but inevitably there is always a kid who is having a meltdown in this aisle (luckily it's not always mine). We strive to eat a healthy diet and live as healthy and naturally as we can. But man, sometimes it's really hard to get through to my kids the reasons why I'm making the decisions I am. To see what oth...

Slowing down to enjoy life's big adventures. Letter of the Week. Friday, November 18, 2011. The Homeschool Mother's Journal: Week 3. In my life this week. We had a blissfully boring week this week. I got to stick to my regular routine and I love that. I was able to get some really good coupon deals this week (yep I'm bragging) and even snuck out of the house all by myself to do some shopping. This never happens! In our homeschool this week. I'm having a hard time helping her because I don't know any Fren...

Slowing down to enjoy life's big adventures. Letter of the Week. Thursday, March 1, 2012. Thanks for coming to check out Quinsmomma! All that cool stuff instead of writing about. So I've decided to take a bit of a blogging break. I may be back soon and then feel silly for making such a big deal about my break. I just need a little time off. In the meantime, please feel free to look around. You can find some good resources about/for homeschooling HERE. Great curriculum choices for preschool.
