Liegt an der Ostküste Kenias, ca. 40 km südlich der Stadt Momabasa. Hier, im Bezirk Bongwe, nahe der Stadt Ukunda, leben ca. 300 Menschen im Dorf Kidzangoni, das übrigens nur ca. 15 km von "Diani Beach" mit seinen weißen Stränden und den Touristen-Zentren am Indischen Ozean entfernt liegt. Dennoch leben die Menschen in Kidzangoni - wie der aller größte Teil der Bev. Ölkerung - in großer Armut. Smakeni Omari Chala betreibt dort zusammen mit ihrer Schwester seit 2008 einen Kindergarten.

Nach einem privaten Urlaub im Januar 2010 fassten wir - tief beeindruckt von dem Land Kenia, vor allem aber von seinen lebensfrohen und fröhlichen, wenngleich unfassbar armen Menschen - den Entschluss, einen Verein zu gründen, um den Menschen in Kenia ein wenig helfen zu können.
