Back East: September 2009
http://caitlinjk.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Or, life at MHC. Wednesday, September 23, 2009. Unfortunately, there is no way I could possibly sum up my past week. I have been so incredibly busy with campus activities, homework, and hanging out. I've made some really good friends, mostly from the basement where I live (aka the batcave). Everyone I've run into so far on campus is nice - I genuinely cannot say I've met someone I don't like. Hopefully I'll get to attend one. :D It will be a ton of work, but hopefully it will pay off. I'm also really exc...

http://caitlinjk.blogspot.com/2010/04/31-days.html
Or, life at MHC. Sunday, April 11, 2010. Just one month until I'll be home! I can't wait. I figure that I owe you all a summary of my semester so far, so here ya go! Classes are amazing. In bio, we've focused on sea urchin development, fern development, angiosperm (flowering plant) development, and now some genetics thrown in. Currently I'm going an independent experiment on the effects of red and far-red light on pea plant development, and soon we'll be working with baby chickens! And Im glad youll get ...

Back East: June 2009
http://caitlinjk.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Or, life at MHC. Monday, June 8, 2009. Even though we never get to see live primetime shows, there are still some advantages to living on the west coast! Tonight at midnight EST (9pm PST), class registration opened for incoming first years (me! After encountering the above-mentioned problems, I changed my schedule slightly, and I am officially registered for these classes:. However, I am super excited about my other classes. ENGL 200 - An Introduction to the Study of Literature. Umm, it's perfect! Math i...

Back East: July 2009
http://caitlinjk.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Or, life at MHC. Sunday, July 19, 2009. Not too much has happened in the past month, other than the fact that I am now officially a high school graduate! In MHC news, I have (again) changed my schedule - this time for good! At the beginning of the month I finally got the "permission" to register online for Spanish 200, yay! In Monteverde, Costa Rica, with a focus on sustainability that I am dying to participate in! Also in less than three weeks I'll be finding out my housing assignment. I already kno...

Back East: Last semester: a review
http://caitlinjk.blogspot.com/2010/01/last-semester-review.html
Or, life at MHC. Thursday, January 14, 2010. Last semester: a review. As you may have noticed, I changed blogs - I don't like how Wordpress works, and much prefer Blogger. I've imported everything except the comments, but they'll still exist on the old blog in case you want to read them in the future. :). I'm terribly sorry I haven't updated in THREE MONTHS. I kind of forgot I had a blog, oops. Things got very busy very quickly! Let me break it down:. American Foreign Policy (IR 270) - With my same amazi...

Back East: August 2009
http://caitlinjk.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Or, life at MHC. Tuesday, August 11, 2009. Dorm assignments are out, finally! It feels like I've been waiting forever. I will be living with Jess (as I mentioned before), in Porter Hall. We have a nice spacious basement room. Something interesting about the hall is that it is home to the Center for Global Initiatives (aka study abroad programs), and the first floor is all offices. Although it wasn't my first choice, overall I'm happy with Porter. Here's a list of pros and cons I've made:. In non-dorm rel...

Back East: Mika and exams
http://caitlinjk.blogspot.com/2009/10/mika-and-exams.html
Or, life at MHC. Saturday, October 17, 2009. Thursday night I drove to Boston with my friends Stephanie and Megan to see my officially favorite artist of all time, Mika. He is so amazing - his voice, creativity, originality, and energy. I highly recommend that everyone listen to him; I think it's literally impossible for anyone to dislike his music. I took lots of pictures and videos, of which I'll post a few here. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Western Mass, United States. View my complete profile.

Back East: October Break & cold weather
http://caitlinjk.blogspot.com/2009/10/october-break-cold-weather.html
Or, life at MHC. Thursday, October 15, 2009. October Break and cold weather. I also got to do some homework in the amazing New York Public Library. :D. The weather was gorgeous and surprisingly warm. However, since I've gotten back to South Hadley, the weather as been FREEZING. This morning it was in the 20s! But now I have an excuse to wear my pea coat and scarves. The combination of crisp air, bright leaves, and blue blue sky is amazing. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Western Mass, United States.

Soverignty is the Jesus squirrel* of the political world | Night Writings
https://heatherkatherine.wordpress.com/2010/04/07/soverignty-is-the-jesus-squirrel-of-the-political-world
From a viking in the pacific northwest. Soverignty is the Jesus squirrel* of the political world. The title of this post is something I wrote in my political science notes today. As a side note, why is it that wasabi is MOST AWESOME when you’ve put far too much on it and you feel like your head is about to explode? Note for the note: for any non-Sunday school kids out there the answer is always Jesus. If you ever go to any type of Bible study/Sunday school/church activity and they call on you, just s...
