My projects from music tech. a precursor to greatness. Tuesday, February 13, 2007. Hey, this is my second project in music tech, I worte a bassline and a drumloop and a fill. I used the normal drums and a bass sample from the fl studio website. This is really cool! March 1, 2007 at 10:49 AM. I like how you opened with a symbol then the bass came in. My projects from music tech. a precursor to greatness. Monday, March 12, 2007. Hi everyone, This is my third project from fl studio. I used a fruity bass boost on the bass, a parametric equalizer on the drums except for the tom tom's which i put some flanger on. Hope you enjoy. They are fixed now. April 13, 2007 at 11:56 PM. I know you are kidding about Dave- but be careful what you say when using audio clips so that they aren't taken the wrong way. The opening theme you used was good, make sure it loops without "skipping" it sounds like the dots in the playlist aren't set to "grid".

This is one of the problems in writing a long form tune- you have to develop the theme. You do have a good bass line, but how about some space in between each or the bass patterns? Thursday, April 12, 2007. A layer channel gives you the ability to control more than one channel at once. Layer channels have no sound of thier own, but they can control many other chanels. These controled channels are called "children". Adding a layer channel is simple. In the main menu at the top of the screen, go to channels- add one- layer. Come up with a good blends and explain why you chose the sounds that you did in your post. Here's an example of what I'm looking for by Jennie (class of '07):.

Thursday, April 12, 2007. Assignment 3: The Arpeggiator. The arpeggiator is a powerful tool that you can use to make one note into many. Open the channel settings tab of any melodic instrument (not a drum) and click on FUNC- the last tab in the series. In this window you can turn on the arpegiator and tweak it's settings. You can change the octave, range, speed and even the chord or scale that your channel will play. As always, comment on your classmates work by visiting their blogs.

Wednesday, May 9, 2007. Project 6: The Edison Audio Editior. Recording your analog voice- or an instrument is done with a microphone. Once you make an analog recording it becomes a "sample" that you can play with. You can do a lot of editing with the powerful Edision Audio Editor that comes with FL Studio.
