Monday, March 21, 2011. Karen and her father, Bud. Oh my aching back! But now it's over a week later, and something is definitely still wrong with my back. I've made an appointment with a chiropractor for the first time in my life. I've always been a skeptic.but I'm willing to try one now. I have too many times seen people come in for surgery, after having seen chiropractors for little injuries, because they had more damage done from the chiros adjustments or from physical therapy even. It's been a rough week and a half, but I think this was the worst of it. As for me - I'm realizing how important it is to have morning scripture study. Saturday, March 26, 2011. I got a lot done today.so why is my kitchen still as messy as ever? I cleaned it first thing this morning, then upon cleaning other rooms, I ended up with piles on my counter and kitchen table of things that need to go somewhere else! Luckily, Patti's kids came over for the night, so they dug in and helped me clean. The family room looks pretty darn good, and the back bedroom, which is a catch-all, looks pretty good, too. Time for some Ibuprofen for my back and to bed I go!

Sunday, July 4, 2010. Thursday: Laundry day - I had a lot of help from Joshua! Friday: Trip to Monticello, Virginia - Thomas Jefferson's home. It was a wonderful trip, but I didn't get pictures of the home.duh! Here's a pic of the kids waiting to get in line - it was a hot day! After the tour of Monticello - there was a hands on place where the kids learned how to write with quills and play with toys from that time period.
