I've been fairly quiet for a few months as a result of a combination of a couple of months away at Staff College and being madly busy preparing for the arrival of my first child. However a few weeks ago I saw these rather brilliant miniatures from the Red Star Coven which I got through the Dice Bag Lady. Sunday, 15 February 2015. What can I say? GW decided to sell the "limited" edition Space Hulk again. I wanted it. I bought it. I really enjoyed painting it. I still haven't managed to play a game yet. Thursday, 19 April 2012. The Horns of the Buffalo - Part Fourteen. I realise that this particular piece wasn't present at Rorkes Drift but there were a pair of them at the Battle of Isandlwana. And it is theoretically possible that one might have escaped back to Jim's place. Also, I'd like to think that I might get to eventually play something other than Rorke's Drift. Sunday, 8 March 2015. Blockhouse and Palisade for French Indian War. I think that this might actually be the fastest that I've ever gone from ordering some MDF scenery to having it finished! It's certainly very quick to paint. I assembled it a few weeks ago and undercoated then got the blockhouse and all the Palisades painted in a little more than a morning. Friday, 2 March 2012. It's Friday night, I've spent most of the day van shopping for the wife before getting a couple of hours on the roads project. I want to finish that one but acrylic water effect stuff takes an age to dry! It's just a bog basic Ikea corner desk unit thingy but it does me proud. Of course, if you think that it is a little chaotic then you should check out the miniature cupboard! Sunday, 22 February 2015. A rather busy weekend with not very much being achieved on the paint station. I've finished the Command, 15 men and 4 rifled musketeers of the Perry AWI Continental infantry set apart from varnishing and finishing off the bases. Unfortunately it's absolutely tipping it down outside so far too humid for any spray varnishing. This will have to wait a couple of weeks until I've got time to finish them off.
