Friday, July 1, 2011. What happened to it? What happened to good old fashion courtesy, respect, and consideration? As a society, our lack of such attributes shocks me. I know that not everyone is absent these characteristics but I think they should just come natural. Courtesy – Holding the door open for one another has become a lost art. I suppose we are all so busy and focused on our own lives and schedules that we can’t be bothered by those who we perceive get in our way. Respect the police officer.

Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Why do these things still shock me? My step-daughter called me a couple of nights ago to ask me if I has spoken with her dad. It seems his electricity has been shut off and he told her the reason is that bill is in my name and I am in prison. He can't get the bill out of my name and into his without my signature and since I am in jail. It's all my fault because I am in prison. Why do these things continue to shock me? Friday, July 1, 2011. My daughter will be 25 on September 11. And my birthday is on September 21. Over the Labor Day weekend, for our birthdays, we are going to Kansas City for a much needed getaway. I booked us a room with a view at the plaza and got tickets to see Maroon 5 and Train. I really enjoyed working on each piece of art it was awesome to work with original hand painted work and use my skills at the computer to transform the art into repeat patterns for fabric.
