Life on my North Dakota dairy goat farm. Monday, January 18, 2010. Sorry for the loooooong absence. We had a really tough summer/fall season. I lost several goats and it was JUST too depressing to blog about it. I suppose I should have because maybe something that I went through could have helped someone. Perhaps some day when it's not so raw, I will blog about it. Nevertheless, I have some wonderful things to report now. We had five doelings and one buckling, all born yesterday. What a blessing! Life on my North Dakota dairy goat farm. Saturday, July 25, 2009. Haven't Been Online For a While. I've been running around the country the last several days! I decided that I needed a little break from mommy-hood and so I took my three youngest to visit Grandma Grace in Kansas. I left Olivia here to do all the chores by herself and she did a WONDERFUL job. I can't believe how grown up she's getting. Is there a certain something that I need to click, or unclick? Life on my North Dakota dairy goat farm. Tuesday, January 19, 2010. So, we've had 10 kids in 24 hours. Liv and I are tuckered out. Little Miss Sophi has been helping us, too. After the 5AM feeding this morning, this little doeling (our miracle kid, Bella) decided that she was lonely, so Liv went back out to the barn and brought her in the house. Life on my North Dakota dairy goat farm. Monday, January 18, 2010. Well, more babies are here, lol. I went to prayer group this morning and left Olivia and Sophia in charge of the goats. Olivia had to milk and then bottle feed the six kids. While I was gone, Rosie kidded and the babies were half frozen and my little girls knew what to do! I'm so proud of them, I can hardly say!
