8230;snippets and snapshots of life in Thailand and beyond. Why Mother’s Day makes my heart ache. Should we pray for and encourage the mothers of the world? Should we recognize them and edify them? 8230;snippets and snapshots of life in Thailand and beyond. The song brings back the memories of the hospital, of pain and loss, of fear and anger, and of brokenness and sadness I never thought would subside. But it is also a reminder to me of His sovereignty. He had the beautiful plan of giving us Owen and Emma 2 months later. Praying, dear reader, that whatever your situation, that He would sustain you and give you peace. May He fill you heart with gladness and may joy come in the morning. And the thin...

New intentional beginnings | The Austs Adventures
https://theaustsadventures.wordpress.com/2014/08/05/new-intentional-beginnings
8230;snippets and snapshots of life in Thailand and beyond. I have this love-hate relationship for new beginnings. New beginnings are exactly that: NEW. New often means change, and I am not great at embracing change. In fact, I often dig my heels in. However, new beginnings often are a fresh start, a chance to try again, to get better at something or make progress. To have deeper conversation with others. To ask more questions. To write more birthday, thank you, and thinking of you cards. August 5, 2014.

8230;snippets and snapshots of life in Thailand and beyond. Learning to embrace change. We went through a lot to have Owen and Emma. It was heartbreaking and emotional, and an emotionally high stress pregnancy…but in the end, we ended up with two beautiful and healthy children. God is good. Forget it. Play dates? Heck no. Spontaneous anything? No way. An event downtown that would require me to take the BTS? And then God moved and surprised us all with a new plan. This entry was posted in A beautiful mess.

8230;snippets and snapshots of life in Thailand and beyond. Monthly Archives: February 2015. 8230;but we love. We love because HE first loved us. The cross begs to fill my heart with affection and perpetual forgiveness and kindness. It asks that I find my identity in Him alone, instead of relationships. It asks me to set aside my pride, my ambitions, my selfishness, and my life and instead pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace (2 Timothy 2:22). Day 3 struck a chord…. When I peek out from under the...

Learning to embrace the mess | The Austs Adventures
https://theaustsadventures.wordpress.com/2014/08/17/learning-to-embrace-the-mess
8230;snippets and snapshots of life in Thailand and beyond. Learning to embrace the mess. I will be honest…I struggle to let the twins do artsy/crafty things because I know how messy they are, and I know that it essentially just creates more work for me in the end. It is in moments like those that I have to remind myself that they are learning, exploring, and discovering. I have to remind myself that they are having fun and that they are not even 2–of course they are going to make a mess! August 17, 2014.

8230;snippets and snapshots of life in Thailand and beyond. Owen has been a challenge lately, namely in the area of sleep. He used to go down for a nap or at night fairly quickly. Now he wants his head rubbed, his feet massaged, his ear lobe caressed, his cheek stroked, or just anyone near him for that matter. Why aren’t you sleeping? This entry was posted in A beautiful mess.
