Anyway, I only go when there's something I desperately want to see and no one else [whom I know] does. So, I saw 12 Years A *****. At best, you're going to leave in a somber mood. Thursday, November 7, 2013. My friend asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I didn't even know what to tell her. Usually, I only want something silly that I can buy for myself. Like yarn. She said yarn was an unacceptable answer. So she sat in my office, and we did some materialistic brainstorming. :) :(. I totally want a quilt. Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Monday night is Redemption Group night. On that night, several women in my church get together to confront lies and misplaced trust that result in fear and anxiety. It's so difficult to be a part of this group, because I kind of want to hold on to my fear. Doesn't that sound ridiculous? See what happened there? Even so, the son returns. And the father rushes out. The son quickly starts his apology only to be cut off with embrace, full acceptance, and rejoicing. Celebration....

Friday, March 22, 2013. I'm ten years late on this thought. I'm appreciative of his desire to right wrongs, but Michael Moore makes me want to play in traffic. Sir, your bullhorn approach may win you favor with your fans, but it's off-putting to your opponents. If you want to affect change, be kind but firm. And humble. I have red hair. Wednesday, November 6, 2013. On the way to Missional Community last night, I learned something very interesting, and it is this: I lack patience. I was driving around rainy midtown. during rush hour. in the dark. Zero patience, zero grace. I would be embarrassed if anyone heard the things I was yelling at the cars in front of me. Then I spent the next four hours on my friends' couch knitting a scarf while we talked about fruit of the Spirit. One of which is patience. Love me some not-so-subtle conviction.

Monday, July 26, 2010. I spent Saturday morning hanging out with Cooper, Karen and Jeff. I've done lots of photoshoots with babies lately so it was a nice change to spend some time with a toddler (this little man is definitely not a baby anymore! Cooper didn't mind the heat and had a great time playing with his trucks in the sand and throwing rocks into the lake (and I stayed cool taking photos knee-deep in Lake Ontario).
