Kim's Simple Hand Warmers. Old Shale - multiple of 18 stitches. Cast on 40 stitches (or desired width in a multiple of 18 4 edge stitches). Row 2: K2, purl to last 2 stitches, K2. Row 3: K2, (K2tog) 3 times, *(yo,K1) 6 times, (K2tog) 6 times* to last 8 stitches, (K2tog) 3 times, K2. A very easy scarf to knit. Needle size and yarn can vary for different effects. Knit to desired length and bind off.

Emily is our new Blue Border Collie we purchased in July during the AGM. She comes from John and Lynn McKay in Kingston Ontario (Woolly Acres Farm). Blue Border Collies are few and far between. It's a recessive gene that only pops up occasionally. As a Shetland breeder I would describe her color as Emsket, a beautiful pewter grey. We hope that she will someday help us manage our Shetland flock. Emily is now 6 months old and an angel!

Some of the happenings, as I see it, on a dead end road, high up on a ridge, in southwestern Wisconsin. Saturday, March 07, 2015. Winter in Wisconsin with friends. He is used to them since he joins them in the dog yard year round. He is also the oldest resident on. The farm since his mom died last fall. I really think he will become a barn cat again since he is much too interested in the food that we eat and the countertop where we prepare the food. Time will tell. Please note that this is not our best artistic work, as most of it was drawn and cut out late in the night before Sunday. Mercifully, kids are less critical about these crafts than our inner critics. We have sold our flock of Shetland sheep as of June 2013. We are still farming our fields with alfalfa crops and planting fruit and nut trees. Sabrina is also still creating her needle felted artwork. We hope to have sheep again someday when our schedules settle down. Kimber's Wood is a small woodland in Ramsbury, Wiltshire, UK. The wood was planted in 1998 and the 10 acres (around 4 hectares) contain around 1,000 trees. The wood is a combination of broad-leaved and conifer species and we manage the wood as a wildlife refuge. If you would like to contact us, please email us on.
